Excellent! I am thoroughly impressed. The jar is substantial, and I’ve calculated how long it should last as I consume it over several months. I used to be sick with colds frequently. A red sore throat was my constant companion. I was often worried about going out in the cold or consuming anything too cool. I’m delighted this is now a thing of the past! I take this vitamin C alongside Echinacea, and the difference in my health has been remarkable; I now live more actively without fear!

This product is excellent for the immune system. I followed recommendations on appropriate vitamin C intake to improve my health. I typically suffer from seasonal allergies every February, but this year, sufficient Vitamin C made a real difference. I will keep taking these until all the blooms are in, then reduce my dosage but continue daily. The benefits are amazing, and this NOW brand is among the highest quality I've encountered. No sniffles, sinus headaches, or sore throats – nothing!

About! As a family, we decided to take 500 capsules of vitamin C for the winter. The can was impressive; I was shocked by the size! We drink 2 capsules daily (the dosage is 2000). If you feel unwell, drink 2 more in the evening or when everyone around is ill. When we take it, we hardly ever get sick. Yes, there may be signs of a cold, like a sore throat, but we remain healthy! I strongly recommend this vitamin C; it’s a family affair. Each pill becomes cheaper this way, and you won’t fall ill!

Vitamins work! The speedy delivery was impressive, arriving in just 14 days to Ukraine. The jar is substantial and well packaged. I consume S-1000 daily in the morning. A sore throat, also known as pharyngitis, is a common condition characterized by pain, scratchiness, or irritation of the throat. It can occur as a result of various factors, including viral infections like the common cold or flu, bacterial infections such as strep throat, allergies, dry air, or even irritants like smoke and pollution. Symptoms often manifest as a sensation of discomfort during swallowing and may be accompanied by swelling, redness, or the presence of white patches on the tonsils or throat lining.
Most sore throats are mild and resolve on their own within a week or so, often treated with home remedies such as warm salt water gargles, lozenges, and hydration. However, if the sore throat is severe, persistent, or associated with other concerning symptoms such as high fever, difficulty swallowing, or difficulty breathing, it's essential to consult a healthcare professional, as this may indicate a more serious condition that requires medical intervention. Proper diagnosis and treatment are crucial, especially if a bacterial infection is suspected, as it may necessitate antibiotics for effective treatment.
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a critical role in numerous bodily functions. As an essential nutrient, it contributes to the growth and repair of tissues in the body, and it is vital for the production of collagen, an important protein that helps maintain skin, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels. Additionally, Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant, which means it helps combat free radicals—unstable molecules that can cause oxidative stress and contribute to various chronic diseases.
Moreover, Vitamin C enhances iron absorption from plant-based foods, making it a vital component for those following vegetarian or vegan diets. While many people get sufficient Vitamin C from a well-balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables like oranges, strawberries, kiwi, broccoli, and bell peppers, some individuals might require supplementation. It's generally recommended to stay within the daily intake guidelines, as excessive consumption can lead to gastrointestinal disturbances. Overall, Vitamin C is not just a skincare celebrity—it's a fundamental part of maintaining overall health and well-being.
Vitamin C is often touted for its immune-boosting properties, but its effectiveness in treating a sore throat specifically is somewhat mixed. While Vitamin C plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health and can help support the immune system, there is limited evidence to suggest that it directly alleviates sore throat symptoms. Some studies indicate that adequate Vitamin C intake might help reduce the duration and severity of colds, but it doesn't necessarily target throat discomfort.
For those experiencing a sore throat, focusing on other remedies may provide more immediate relief. Warm salt water gargles, throat lozenges, and staying hydrated are often recommended. If you choose to incorporate Vitamin C into your routine—perhaps through citrus fruits, supplements, or fortified foods—you might experience some benefits for your immune system over time. However, it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional for advice tailored to your individual needs.
Based on user reviews, the typical timeframe for seeing results when taking this vitamin C for sore throat symptoms varies, but many users report experiencing relief within a short period. For instance, several individuals noted that they started feeling a sore throat but found that by increasing their dosage, the discomfort vanished by the following morning. Additionally, some users reported that consistent use, particularly at the first sign of sore throat, is effective in preventing more severe symptoms, reinforcing the idea that timely consumption after onset can lead to speedy recovery (review id: 'bb5aa1e9-ad5c-40f4-b6b0-b0b824ced238'). Overall, a common theme in user experiences places the onset of relief within one to two days depending on the dosage adjustment and consistency of intake.
According to user reviews, many individuals have reported significant improvements in their symptoms related to sore throats and cold-like ailments after incorporating vitamin C into their routines. Another reviewer echoed this experience, asserting that increasing their vitamin C intake at the onset of a sore throat led to quick relief, generally within 24 hours (Read Review).
Moreover, several users noted that regular use of vitamin C not only helps alleviate symptoms when they arise but often prevents them altogether; families reported fewer colds and less frequent sore throats when consistently taking the supplement during winter (Read Review). Another user stated a clear reduction in sore throat occurrences since they began taking vitamin C, highlighting its preventive effects (Read Review). It's important to remember that individual results can vary, and while many have found success with this vitamin, factors such as dosage and personal health conditions can influence outcomes.
According to user reviews, many individuals have successfully combined vitamin C with other supplements like Echinacea and zinc to enhance their effectiveness for alleviating sore throat symptoms. For example, one user noted a dramatic improvement in their health when taking vitamin C along with Echinacea, which allowed them to live more actively without the fear of frequent sore throats (Read Review). Others reported that taking zinc alongside vitamin C provided relief without the unpleasant side effects they experienced with other supplements (Read Review). Additionally, a user emphasized the advantages of incorporating vitamin E with their regimen, stating it may contribute to their overall well-being while also impacting their throat discomfort positively (Read Review).
Moreover, users have found that combining vitamin C with substantial dosage adjustments at the onset of a sore throat can lead to swift relief. Many reported taking higher doses of vitamin C during the early stages of cold symptoms, such as sore throats, and noted significant improvements by the following day (Read Review). Overall, the consensus among users indicates that pairing vitamin C with complementary supplements may further enhance its benefits in managing cold-related symptoms effectively.
Users report varying doses of Vitamin C for effectively treating sore throats, often emphasizing the importance of adjusting intake based on symptoms. Many reviews suggest that doubling the typical dosage, particularly during the onset of a sore throat, has led to quick relief. For example, one user mentions that upon feeling a sore throat, they doubled their intake from 1000 mg to 2000 mg, resulting in pain relief by the next morning Read Review. Another user noted that they typically take 4 capsules at night when feeling unwell and report feeling rejuvenated by morning Read Review.
Additionally, some users found that taking higher doses, up to 2000 mg every hour during the early signs of a cold, was particularly beneficial Read Review. A regular intake, typically around 1000-2000 mg daily, is commonly reported, with adjustments made as symptoms arise Read Review. Overall, reviews highlight a proactive approach to Vitamin C dosage, suggesting a range from 1000 mg to 4000 mg for those experiencing sore throat symptoms.

Lozenges recommended
I purchased these for myself and continue to take them. Previously, I had picolinate, but I’m pleased with these lozenges! They taste great and soothe the throat during absorption. I found that unlike other zinc preparations, I had no nausea. Take it with the onset of a sore throat every 2 hours as directed; it really alleviates discomfort. I highly recommend!

For diet and health maintenance, I take 3 tablets every morning and night. I also include vitamin E for its antioxidant benefits. I feel in great shape, although other supplements may play a role as well. When symptoms of a cold appear, such as a sore throat, I find that an extra dose truly helps improve the sensation.

Colds reduced
My family has been taking vitamin C consistently for many years, and we’ve found we catch colds less often. When feeling unwell (stuffy nose, sore throat, etc.), we take 4 capsules at night, and by morning, we feel energised.

Dosage experimentation
I consume it when I have symptoms of a cold. I'm trying out vitamin C from different brands, but I haven’t noticed major differences. However, consuming 1000-2000 milligrams of vitamin C every hour during the onset of a cold (sore throat or runny nose) appears to be very beneficial. I even tried giving it to my parents, and it seemed effective for them as well after just a couple of doses!

Immunity booster
Quality Vitamin C from my favourite brand NOW. It's great that rutin is added here, as it strengthens blood vessel walls when combined with vitamin C. I find it ideal to use vitamin C with collagen peptides for better absorption. When I sense a runny nose or sore throat coming, I take 2 capsules in the morning, and by the second day, the symptoms disappear. Very economical for the family. I sincerely recommend it for health and beauty!
